From a small fellowship in a living room to a thriving parish—discover how God has been faithful to us.
ACK St. Thomas Aquinas Church was established in 2004 as a church plant of ACK St. James Buruburu, responding to the spiritual needs of Tena Estate residents. What began in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Awuor—a small congregation with no pews, no organ, no towering stained glass—has grown into a vibrant Anglican parish.
Through faithful obedience, sacrifice, and God’s provision, we acquired our present location and expanded into a community that honors God in worship, discipleship, and service. On May 31, 2017, Bishop Joel Waweru officially named us ACK St. Thomas Aquinas Tena Church, and in September 2017 we were elevated to parish status.
Today, we stand as a testament to God’s faithfulness—a church where biblical teaching, heartfelt worship, and genuine community come together to transform lives for His glory.
