our beliefs

  1. Christianity unites believers worldwide in a shared faith rooted in Jesus Christ.

  2. Salvation is a gift received through faith, emphasizing God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).

  3. Christians strive to embody Christ's teachings, letting their light shine for God's glory (Matthew 5:16).

The Trinity:

Central to Christian belief is the concept of the Holy Trinity—the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe in the oneness of God expressed in three distinct persons, each playing a crucial role in the redemptive plan for humanity.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired; that it contains no errors in the original manuscripts and is preserved by God for us; it is authoritative for this church and each of us for every age.

Salvation by Grace:

Christians believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This foundational tenet emphasizes that eternal life is a gift from God, not earned through human efforts. The death and resurrection of Jesus are seen as the means by which believers are reconciled with God.

Second Coming of Christ:

Christians universally anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ. Rooted in biblical prophecies, this belief centers on the return of Christ to fulfill God's ultimate plan for the redemption and restoration of humanity. The promise of Christ's return inspires hope and shapes the Christian perspective on the future.

The Bible as Divine Authority:

The Bible holds a central place in Christian faith, viewed as the inspired and authoritative word of God. Christians believe it contains God's revelation, providing guidance for faith and practice. The Old and New Testaments together form the sacred scripture.

The Incarnation:

Christianity asserts the belief in the Incarnation—the divine becoming human in the person of Jesus Christ. This event signifies God's love for humanity, as Jesus, both fully divine and fully human, experienced life, death, and resurrection to redeem humanity.

Sacrament of Baptism:

Baptism is a significant sacrament in Christianity, symbolizing the cleansing of sin and entry into the community of believers. It is seen as a public declaration of faith and the beginning of a new life in Christ. Different Christian traditions may practice baptism in various forms, including infant baptism and believer's baptism.

Resurrection and Eternal Life:

Christians believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, demonstrating victory over sin and death. This event offers hope for believers, assuring them of eternal life. The Christian concept of life after death is central to their understanding of God's plan for humanity.

Role of Faith and Works:

Christian belief often involves the harmonious relationship between faith and works. While salvation is received by faith alone, genuine faith is expected to manifest in good works. This understanding is rooted in biblical teachings that emphasize the transformative power of faith in a believer's life and actions.
